Joining NCL Connect means you will need to to join the company and you must read the articles and FAQ we have created to assist you in understanding this commitment.
Federation leads and any of the NCL Connect directors will be happy to clarify and reassure you if required.
If you are a GP Practice or PCN in NCL looking for locums to support your team, you can start the application to join the service by clicking on the link below and registering your interest. We will contact you with details on how to join. Many practices are already signing up, this is a free service with no fees.
NCL ICB have awarded a contract to Health and Care Staff Pool Ltd, a collaboration of the GP Federations in North Central London to create and manage a platform for Locums to register, view and apply for local opportunities posted by Healthcare Providers. This is a national initiative whereby NHS England are funding Flexible Staff Pools in all ICS regions to further support the connectivity of locums to a local footprint. Now operating on a digital platform, the pool will provide the same functionality of on boarding, booking and remuneration as many other similar services but is owned and run locally for NCL. The intention is that it becomes the locum staffing solution of choice for North Central London, with staff who are part of the pool with access to some localised training and support not routinely available as part of locum banks.
NCL Connect will allow fully registered and compliant locums to list their availability and requirements, together with a matching service for Healthcare Providers where they can advertise new opportunities to facilitate booking. The transaction will be directly between the locum and booking organisation with no additional fees for the platform envisaged at this stage. The NCL based project has commenced with GPs and Nurses, and we will be looking to expand into other clinical and non-clinical roles in the future.
We are also launching a page for you to advertise Permanent roles within your practices, with easy upload of information, so staff who are looking for full-time, fixed term or part-time roles can apply directly to you. You can advertise for any role within your practice, this is not limited to Clinical Staff. This service is only available to Member Practices, please see link below for details on how to join.
